The Joint Air Transport Safety Committee (JATSC) was established in 2007 by GVP Robert Roach and Airline Coordinator Tom Brickner. The JATSC consists of IAM Canadian and U.S. Based airline safety representatives from District Lodges 140, 141, 142 that meet together with Grand Lodge Representatives.
Our Mission:
- Exchange experiences and information
- Address safety issues for our members across the membership
- Promote relationships that coordinate our overall safety activities and goals.
- Continue to be a source and resource to governmental agencies in order to strengthen laws, regulations, and other worker protections.
- Prepared to assist with sharing and improving contract safety language for all IAM covered areas.
This is an ongoing commitment to continue improving health and safety for our members. The committee will continue to meet regularly to accomplish its mission. Future communications will include a Safety Survey of the members and union safety representatives.
Together with the memberships support, JATSC will strive to enhance Air Transport industry safety in the U.S. and Canada
